"Conscious Eats was founded in 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, during a time of uncertainty, loss, and deep disruption across the hospitality industry and the creator economy.
I had just lost my job in corprate catering, one of the hardest-hit industries at the time. At the same time, I was watching small restaurants struggle to survive, creative venues go dark, and artists leave New York because they could no longer afford to stay. Brooklyn—once vibrant and deeply connected—felt like it was losing its soul.
As someone rooted in hospitality, creativity, and community, I felt that loss personally. I also knew firsthand how isolating and destabilizing that moment was for creatives, small business owners, and cultural cornerstones that depend on in-person connection to exist.
What began as a small, grassroots response to that loss became Conscious Eats.
Fun fact: it originally started as a homemade vegan butter, tea, and jarred desserts projectan act of care and survival during a time when nourishment, in every sense, mattered. As the pandemic continued, Conscious Eats evolved into virtual wellness gathering like virtual “spa days,” creating socially distant spaces for people to connect, reflect, and process what they were going through. Those gatherings quickly became support systems.
When the city began reopening in 2022, the work expanded into in-person community programming. Conscious Eats collaborated with breweries, hotels, and local artists to create music-centered experiences that uplifted local talent and gave creatives access to opportunities—like performing with a live band—that weren’t readily available to them. This also drew foot traffic to struggling businesses who were looking to become community third spaces in the with a loyal patronage.
At its core, Conscious Eats was always about rebuilding what had been fractured: creating safe spaces, fostering symbiotic relationships between small businesses, creatives, and local communities, and proving that when people feel supported, they can weather any storm.
Today, Conscious Eats has grown beyond event production and beyond New York City. We now provide business growth solutions that help 9-5 creatives, hospitality brands, and creative entrepreneurs build sustainably through strategy, systems, and community—while protecting the joy, culture, and connection that make the work meaningful.
Conscious Eats exists to preserve and strengthen cultural ecosystems in urban communities by supporting the people who shape them—creatives, small businesses, hospitality brands, and community builders. We do this by providing strategy-led consulting, data-informed insights, and community-centered experiences that help individuals and organizations grow sustainably, generate economic opportunity, and thrive together—without burnout.
We envision cities where culture is protected, local economies are resilient, and creative work is valued as both an artistic and economic driver. Conscious Eats aims to guide ecosystems where venues, artists, entrepreneurs, and communities are interconnected, self-sustaining, and impactful—creating positive ripple effects locally and beyond. Some might call this urban planning; we call it conscious, people-first growth.
Culture First
Culture is infrastructure. We believe neighborhoods thrive when the people, stories, and creative practices within them are respected and resourced.
Ecosystem Thinking
We design for the collective. Growth is strongest when businesses, artists, and communities are supported as interconnected systems—not in isolation.
Conscious Growth
We reject hustle-for-hustle’s-sake. Sustainable progress prioritizes wellbeing, clarity, and long-term impact alongside ambition.
Clarity Through Strategy
Data, systems, and structure are tools for empowerment. We turn complexity into clear, actionable paths forward.
Community Over Competition
Collaboration builds resilience. We create spaces where shared knowledge, trust, and mutual support can flourish.
Integrity & Care
We center the human behind the work—leading with empathy, accountability, and intention in everything we build.
Joy, Nourishment & Creativity
Work should feed you, not drain you. We make room for joy, rest, and inspiration as essential parts of success.
